Privacy notice

Who we are

This notice explains how Artificial Lift Solutions LLC-FZ ("ALS", "we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you use this training website and book a course. Artificial Lift Solutions LLC-FZ is the data controller and is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact info@dcl-als.com.

The information we collect

When you register for a course we collect:

  • Your name, work email address, phone number, company, job title and country.
  • The course you are booking and your booking status (pending, confirmed, waitlisted or cancelled).
  • Any dietary or accessibility requirements you choose to give us.
  • Payment details for invoicing: whether you or your company is paying and, where a company is paying, the billing name, billing address and invoice email.
  • A record that you accepted our terms and this notice, and the date of your booking.

We also process limited technical information to keep the site secure: a bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs when you submit the booking form, and a strictly necessary session cookie is used for security. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To process and manage your booking, allocate places and operate the waitlist — to take steps to enter into and perform our contract with you.
  • To contact you about your booking and the course, such as confirmations, joining details and changes — performance of our contract.
  • To raise and manage invoices and keep accounting records — performance of our contract and compliance with our legal obligations.
  • To make any dietary or accessibility arrangements you ask for — your explicit consent. This may include health-related information, which we use only to make those arrangements.
  • To protect the site and prevent fraud and abuse — our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

We do not use your details for marketing without your separate consent.

Who we share it with

We share your data only with service providers who help us run the booking service, acting as our processors under contract. These currently include our cloud hosting and database provider (Railway), where booking records are stored; our email delivery provider (Resend), used to send your confirmation and related emails; and Cloudflare, which provides the bot-protection check on the booking form. Booking notifications are also seen by the ALS team members who administer courses and invoicing.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Course fees are invoiced directly by us; we do not collect card or other payment-card details through this site.

International transfers

We are based in the United Arab Emirates, and our providers may process data in other countries. Where your data is protected by UK or EU data protection law and is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses or a provider's recognised compliance framework — to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your booking records for as long as needed to deliver the course and then to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — typically up to six years for records that support financial transactions. Dietary and accessibility notes are deleted once the course has taken place. After the applicable period we securely delete or anonymise your data.

How we protect it

All traffic to this site is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Administrator accounts use hashed passwords, support optional two-factor authentication, and are rate-limited against repeated sign-in attempts. Access to booking records is limited to authorised ALS staff.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email info@dcl-als.com. If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, you also have the right to complain to your data protection supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Children

This service is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed; where changes are significant we will take reasonable steps to make them clear.
